The Four Girls For Girls Foundation has implemented several initiatives to serve our community. We have:
Provided reproductive health courses for girls 9-18 and boys 9-14. Courses feature interactive curriculum and resources to de-stigmatize the path to puberty. Our sessions empower participants by providing them with the knowledge to take charge of their reproductive well being.
Addressed food insecurity on college campuses by implementing a community cooperative to provide food, toiletries and hygiene supplies at one of our local universities.
Created Obstetrical Education Programs to address the worsening maternal mortality that impacts our country and disproportionally impacts specific communities. We held community courses for birthing persons and their support teams to allow them to be informed partners and self-advocates during pregnancy, child birth and the post-partum period. We developed a Doula education program to increase the number of birth support workers in our community.
