Four Girls For Girls had a great time collaborating with the For Sister’s Only Club “Camp Be Your Best”. 35 girls aged 11-18 had a great time learning to navigate Puberty Parhway. It is our goal to erase the fears that our girls have about growing up. The participants learned about hygiene, breast exams, shaving and the different products they can use for their menses.
The Paine Pantry is now officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Opening our doors in preparation for the crunch time of end of semester projects and exams, the pantry is available to provide food and hygiene supplies to all students, faculty and staff at Paine college with a valid ID. Through generous donations we were able to stock the pantry with nutritious snacks, breakfast and lunch items, coffee, juices, yogurt, oral hygiene and feminine hygiene supplies. We also have shaving and shower supplies for those who drop in.
Four Girls For Girls took it on the road today as a co-sponsor for the Black Family Wellness Expo held by the Augusta (GA) chapter of the Links Incorporated. We had mini sessions of our Healthy Pregnancy education courses and puberty prep for girls and boys !
Puberty Parties
“Girl Power” comes from learning and loving how our bodies work and how to take care of them. Through education and empowerment, girls 9-18 years old are taught to embrace the natural progression to puberty through our programs.
Birthing Justice
Engagement of community stakeholders is an important component to addressing maternal morbidity and mortality in the United States. Our Foundation collaborated with several local organizations to host a screening and panel discussion of “Birthing Justice”, an expansive, in-depth documentary on this topic.
